Sad

Yesterday we found out that Roxie has a large heart murmur and most likely isn't going to make it. The breeder didn't feel comfortable giving her to us in that condition. We are thankful we found out before getting her and that the breeder notified us and gave us our deposit back, but we are really sad.

We have too many exciting things going on in the next few days to let this ruin our week, so we are trying to remain optimistic and we are on the search for a new Roxie! We have found two others we are looking at and if those don't work out then we will have to wait for a new litter...meaning we would have to wait another two months. Not cool.

Everything happens for a reason, we will try to remain hopeful and know that God has a better pup picked out for us...somewhere.

It would have been even worst to bring her home and watch her go. You'll find a new healthy puppy, I just know it.

I hope you find another baby to love on. You should check out a shelter when you get back home--you could even get out of housetrainig that way!

  11. So sad to hear it! Having a sick pet is so hard. Non-pet owners just can't understand.

  15. SO sad for you! Feelin' your pain from VA. I think I'm especially emotional about pets at the moment w/ what our Chester has been through in the past week or so. - You're right though, I guess it's better to find out now than go through the pain of loosing a precious member of the family. Hope God brings another your way soon. One even more perfect! Keep us posted, ok?

  19. Sorry to hear about your disappointment, sniff-sniff. Is there a particular dog you are looking at, or just any puppy? I have a friend here in NH who does lots of work with rescue pups. She has a bunch coming up this week. Let me know and I'm happy to connect you with her....Good luck!

  22. Awe! I am so sorry! Fingers crossed that you are able to find a new Roxie ASAP!

That was very, very nice of the breeder to be upfront and honest with you. Sadly not all breeders are that way....just looking to make some money.
