Adalyn's Pantry

Adalyn doesn't really have her own pantry,
but her food does take up a good amount of space.

I always like to see what other babies eat so I thought it would be fun to do a post on Adalyn's staples.

So fun, right?

Okay, so maybe that wasn't the right word to use...

Yesterday I went grocery shopping so it was the perfect time since the last couple days I've been too lazy to go shopping and she's been eating corn pops, ritz bits and peanut butter and crackers because everything she loves was "in stock".

Breakfast
She starts off with some dry cereal and then usually has a yogurt and a fruit. I buy a mix of Yobaby and Gerber yogurt. I like how the the Gerber yogurt doesn't have to be refrigerated {which is a little weird too}, but it's great for on-the-go too.

Easy on-the-go snacks that she loves:
These are all clean and mess free so they're perfect!
Sometimes the little strawberries can get stuck on her clothes, but other than that these are our go-to snacks.

Lunch
is usually a variety of some sorts.
She's not a huge veggie fan so I like to get the fruit and veggie mixes and she loves those.
I also love the GoGo Squeez apple sauce. I prefer to buy the jumbo pack at Target though.
Some nuggets with a little ranch and ketchup.
Or
Peanut butter and crackers.
Sometimes a hot dog, rotisserie chicken or grilled cheese.

Side "dishes" with lunch
She loves any kind of cheese, raisins, pirates booty {she really loves Jax (cheese doodles) but these are yummy, cleaner and a healthier option,} and mini rice quakes.
I tried to be healthier and reduce the consumption of cheese puffs, but surprisingly she wasn't a fan of Veggie Sticks.
Can't say I blame her...

Dinner
is usually whatever we are having
or
I prefer the Gerber graduates pasta dinners, but our grocery store doesn't have those so if I go there I usually get these Steamies and they are good enough.
She loves the pasta stars and chicken and also the mac and cheese. {She also loved the Annie's mac and cheese, but I've only made that a few times}.
The ravioli's are great and easy too- she loves those!

And dinner is usually finished off with a few animal crackers.
Of course, all this food is mismatched throughout the day, but for the most part it's pretty consistent.
This girl loves to eat just like her mama.

We haven't started juice yet, because she is still loving her water.
And of course it never fails that she chokes on it because she drinks it too fast....

What do you're kids eat?
Anything they love we should know about??

funny- I was just considering asking other moms (via FB) what their kids eat. We eat oatmeal almost every morning but I need something Nadia can feed herself. These are all great ideas. I have never served my kids chicken nuggets until my mom bought them yesterday! what is wrong with me? I was like "why haven't I done this before"--so quick and easy! I think my issue is I'm too cheap to buy the pre-packaged baby stuff...so they eat a lot of fruit (fresh and canned) crackers, yogurt, sandwiches, cheese, and granola bars). and I do buy puffs and the baby granola bars. Dinner is whatever we're having. I almost never give them another option unless our meal is spicy. I guess I don't have any good ideas for you but thanks for sharing yours! ;)

Ok what is up with the Gerber yogurt not needing to be refrigerated?! We've bought it a few times and I can't figure that one out. Callyn loves the blueberry yobaby but they haven't had it lately at the grocery store so we started buying the yotoddler and she LOVES those. They have 'cereal' and fruit at the bottom so you have to mix it up. I haven't seen any cereal so idk what that's about.
Callyn loves any kind of meat, cheese, crackers, pasta, OBSESSED with bananas and likes most other fruit. Oh, and corn. Loves corn. She eats waffle for breakfast a lot. Or we get that cinnamon bread and I toast it and put a little butter on it...she loves that. I liked seeing what Adalyn eats! I feel like I always feed Callyn the same stuff every day.

Pretty much same stuff here! Minus the pears and yogurt. He's not really a fan of pears and his stomach doesn't quite agree with yogurt...
We do grilled cheese for dinner/lunch sometimes and those nuggets are awesome, although he's going through a stage where he's had enough of them for a while.
We also usually do peaches for a fruit now, he loves being able to (try) to use a spoon with the little cups of them and as un-healthy as they are, fries and ketchup is always a hit!

Loves the pirates booty and the organic puffs still, which is good cause he's not into cherrios anymore unless it's with milk!
He's had the steamies before and was really only a fan of the veggie noodle one, so we don't do those often. He recently tried raisins (only cause I'm not really a fan and never have them) and he seemed to like them.
Yesterday after nap we had apples and peanut butter , and he loves his american cheese! We buy the happytot pouches for the veggies and the beech nut ones for the fruit/veggie mixes and he usually has those when we are out or if we are rushing somewhere and need something fast and non-clean up!
Loves those yogurt drops too, eats them like they are candy!
Loves quesidillas and anything with rice!
Sounds like she loves her food just like Jaydon :)

So I had the same oatmeal dilemma, but pinterest came to the rescue with a baked oatmeal recipe. You bake it in muffin tins and it comes out in perfect baby sizes they can eat themselves. The recipe is on pinterest somewhere, just search baked oatmeal and it is mixed with applesauce, banana, milk and something else. They are good!

My guy is 1 and eats everything! He does the oatmeal cups and a cut up sausage link for breakfast usually, or pancakes...kid loves pancakes. Lunch, he loves veggie patties and fruit and graham crackers. Dinner is what we're having, but we're lucky he eats everything except cottage cheese.

Fun!
Henry eats everything we eat now, except nuts and shellfish. I don't know when to try nuts, I'm going to ask the doctor at his appointment next month.
Breakfast is usually oatmeal with apple sauce in it. Lunch is left over dinner from the night before. Or if there is none, we do grilled cheese. For snacks we do Mum mums or cereal bars or puffs or yogurt melts.
I don't buy any baby yogurt because there are SO many ingredients! So I just get a plain 3 ingredient yogurt and add my own fruit to it. I also make all our bread. It's fun!

when my son was younger (he's almost 3 now ) he ate pretty much the same thing. LOTS of cheerios, though plain because he was too young for honey. Yogurt was hit or miss, but I just gave him what I was having. Toast, grapes, cheese, apples...I never gave him those gerber dinner though because they are LOADED with sodium. At least in Canada they are. SO he pretty much just got what we were having for dinner, unless it was spicy or something. Gotta say I think feeding them when they're younger is so much easier than toddlers! Toddlers get so picky!
