Chapstick + Sitting in hot car = FAIL.
I knew it was going to be a little melted so I tried to apply it at a slow rate. Apparently it was more melted than I thought and one little swipe across my lip resulted in a big huge chunk on my lip. Awesome.
Now that I blog, I capture the little stupid things that happen in my day for nothing other than your viewing pleasure. You're welcome.
Totally different story, but it has to do with Chapstick so I'm gonna roll with it. I had a chapstick that was perfectly rounded. You know how they come flat? Well I like mine round, I had spent months getting it to be perfect and just how I like it. My wonderful friend asked if she could borrow it, she commented on the perfection of the shape and I proudly agreed and then....she dug her little nail on the top and ruined it! (VAL! I will never forget that haha, but I do forgive and miss you!)
Whats your favorite kind of chapstick? I like the kind that give the shiny feel, like the one above is Blistex Silk & Shine- love it. I am also a fan of Carmex and Soft Lips.
Do you just do one coat or are you like me and apply it for approximately a minute going back and forth, back and forth over your lips a million and one times?

bahahaha! i love that you took a pic of chapstick head stuck to your lip! i'm definitely a recoater.... i adore blistex's silk and shine!!! i bought it not expecting much, but i was so pleasantly surprised with it.

Well, Burt's is my all time fav. I apply it back and forth probably 10 times. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say. ha! I have used the Blistex though. Is it in the shiney silvery/purple bottle?
I am basically obsessed with chapstick. Since I moved to Utah, where it is VERY dry.. I go through about 4 tubes a month.. mostly because I lose them frequently as well! I love Blistex Silk & Shine but my favorite right now is Nivea Kiss of Moisture. I still apply MORE than necessary, but it lasts awhile!
burt's bees.. hands down. best chapstick in the world. smells great and it doesn't cake on.... even if you reapply ever 14 seconds. i know from experience.
Haha Wow girl I LOVE me some chapstick too!!! Blistex is what I use & love me some Burts Bee chapstick too.
I so did this last weekend, left it in the heat. :(
I do it for about a minute, and I always lose mine in the washer or who knowes, so I have a LOT of back up in case that ever happens. (which happens every week or so it seems. :)

Hilarious! Love the pic and I don't have a 'brand' of chapstick that I like but I always seem to love the free ones they give out at runner's expos...don't know what's in them but they're the best!

I go back and forth back and forth until I have a thick layer on my lips. Hubby hates kissing me when I'm lick that! :)
I love your blog layout! So cute! I'm a huge chapstick fanatic, I don't wear lipstick or gloss (don't like it, plus the hubs hates it!), so chapstick is my thing! I can never have enough! Sorry yours melted, ha!

So funny!!! I have melted some of my favorite chapsticks that way!! Honestly, my favorite chapstick is "Chapstick" in strawberry flavor.
It is incredibly hard to find!! When I find it, I usually by like 5 of them!

Sure enjoyed reading your posts - they made me chuckle :-) As for chapstick: it's Burt's Bees all the way baby! Bonus: the original makes your breath smell good too!
